Rupert Osborn
Rupert Osborn has a broad range of experience in technology transfer spanning several life science business areas. He has expertise in technology development and licensing gained from 9 years working at the interface between early stage technology developers (eg. academic institutions, SMEs) and downstream exploitation partners. Prior to joining IP Pragmatics, Rupert was the senior licensing executive at a high profile technology transfer and licensing company and prior to that worked at a multinational agrochemical company for nearly 10 years. Rupert has an MA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and a PhD from Warwick University.
Rufus Charles
Rufus Charles has been working on the exploitation of life science IP for the last 10 years. Prior to joining IPPL he led the new ventures arm of a technology transfer company where he was instrumental in founding the £4M Iceni Seedcorn Fund and served on its investment board. He also established operations for and served on the board of a large bioincubator facility. Additionally, Rufus has experience in life science licensing, food & agri business and consulting in the UK and overseas. Rufus has an MSc from Imperial College and an MBA from INSEAD.
Claude Kaplan
Claude has worked for over 8 years helping multinationals, SMEs and public sector organisations exploit their intellectual property. Most recently he led a spin-out from a world leading UK research institute developing novel technology in animal and environmental monitoring. Prior to that, as a consultant with one of Europe's most successful innovation and product development companies, he worked with a wide range of public and private organisations to identify, value and commercialise their IP. Claude has an MA and PhD from Cambridge University.
Vaadiyar Madhusudhan
Vaadiyar Madhusudhan (Madhu) has worked for over 11 years in agricultural based research businesses in India and New Zealand. Prior to joining IP Pragmatics Madhu held a senior position for 8 years with a New Zealand-based natural products discovery company where he was responsible for technical and product development, including all matters relating to intellectual property. Previous to this he was a senior executive for a multinational agrochemical company in India with responsibility for product registration and co-ordination of research trials. Madhu has a BSc and MSc from Tamilnadu Agricultural University (India) and a PhD from the University of Adelaide (Australia).
Ronnie Georghiou
Ronnie Georghiou has over six years R&D experience in the pharma industry. During this time he has managed global clinical trials, spanning a number of therapy areas, from Phase 2a through to Phase 3b. Prior to joining IP Pragmatics, Ronnie held the position of global study operations manager for one of the top 10 pharma companies and, in parallel, completed an MBA which focused on technology transfer and business development projects in the biopharma sector. Ronnie holds a BSc in Medical Biochemistry from Royal Holloway and an MBA from Imperial College.
Hanane Gouizi
Prior to joining IP Pragmatics, Hanane was a Technology Transfer Officer with Medical Research Council Technology in London where she was responsible for identifying and commercializing inventions in the Oncology area from MRC scientists in Units across the UK. She has a research background in Oncology including post-doctoral experience at the Paterson Institute for Cancer Research in Manchester. She completed her PhD at the Welcome Trust Centre, University of Manchester and her first degree at the University of Sheffield (BSc in Biotechnology and Biochemistry).
